Socially-Distanced Circle-Way in our COVID World

The Center for Disease Control and local county Health Departments have honed socially-distanced practices for small groups of people to gather as safely as possible (if not risk-free, of course). While most of our WWfaC circles are meeting on the Zoom platform, there are singular instances of us now exploring socially-distanced gatherings for women willing to manage their own risk in order to be in creative community together for our transforming world.

Any in-person gathering will follow the CDC protocols, as noted below (and to be updated, as CDC policies evolve)
  • Masks are required for entering and must remain worn unless sipping/eating hot beverage/snack, for short intervals
  • Writers must remain six feet apart at all times
  • Hand sanitizer is required upon entrance, available throughout, though we now use gestures instead of passing candle or talking pieces. A writer may bring her own talking piece, if she desires, as visible signal.
  • Layers of clothing recommended, as the room will be cool--ventilated before participant arrival and after departure
  • Anyone feeling unwell or showing symptoms of any kind--allergies, common cold, etc.--please refrain from participating that night
  • All surfaces will have been cleaned with anti-viral sanitizer wipes
  • Participants may bring their own hot beverage and/or snacks, if they choose. None will be provided
  • By attending, participants are communicating that they understand the uncertainties and risks, and have decided circle is worth the risk.
  • Specifics for SoulCollage Gatherings:
    • All the above guidelines/policies pertain to SoulCollage gatherings, and...
    • All surfaces will be cleaned with anti-viral sanitizer wipes prior to participant arrival
    • Gloves will be required to browse images and any images selected must remain with the participant
    • New set of gloves for each visit to the images tables
    • Collaging tables will be socially-distanced, with women at least six feet from any other; those in the 'same bubble' may choose to collage at the same table
    • All supplied will be cleaned by the participant before and after use, with sanitizer/towels provided and collected afterward; additionally, all supplied will be cleaned by facilitators prior to distribution
    • Registration will be limited, to insure safe socially-distanced spaces
